Progress?? I think so!

Tuesday when ben had the day off we got to serious work transforming aiden's room. My mom kept aiden ALL DAY so we could work non stop and non stop work we did! Even in all my list making and planning I never really thought it would take us allll day just to clean out aiden's room, paint the walls, and get his new bed put up but oh it did. 9 am tuesday morning until 1 am wednesday morning is how long this transformation took!

Ben and I painted aiden's room. I am going for a "vintage" sports theme in there and I wanted one rusted red accent wall and the other walls a khaki color. The colors look a little different in pictures than in life. It came out exactly how I was hoping. Although I did start to have a hard time painting over his pale blue baby walls with these grown up colors.
Ben called in reinforcements to help him build aiden's big boy bunk beds. This was a mammoth of a job! I think this was around 10pm and Ben and Rob were less than thrilled!
This is 1 AM. All smiles now cause it's DONE!
Aiden's big boy room. There will be before/ after pictures later on when his room is completed. Right now the room doesn't have any decorations or anything but I'm feeling better about our progress already. One room mostly done...
ONE very crazy room to go. Yes folks step right up and look at the room that makes me want to sit down and cry! I swear this room just started to look like this. Up until this week it was a fully functioning guest room and now...it's a nursery in progress! Can't you tell??
So those of you that offered to help? You want to retract that offer yet? Cause this room is going to be a HUGE undertaking!

P.S.
It cracks me up that I keep this door firmly closed when people come by cause I am so embarrassed that it looks like I should be on the show "hoarders" but yet I put a picture on my blog for the world to see. I must be losing my mind!

I am SERIOULY impressed with how much you got done in such a short amount of time! Love Aiden's new Big Boy Room.

It seems just like yesterday that I came up for one weekend (while you kids were out of town) and your Mother and I completely painted and switched yours and Jarod's rooms in Arlington. Jarod started out in the back and you were in the front. When yall got home, You were in the back and Jarod was in the front. Mamo came with us to supervise, and your Mother and I did all of that in two days!! Yep - Yep, when the going gets tough - the tough get going! ha ha

Debbie......that was a great time when we re-decorated Jarod and Jenni's room for a surprise. I can still remember how sore I was. I have pictures but sure wish I had a blog to go back and read.

Sounds like we need to get Debbie up when we do the baby girl room?????

I love it! The colors are perfect for that theme. You have a good eye for color. My basement looks like that bedroom you are about to work on. Don't worry about, that March deadline will make it happen one way or the other. Wish I was there to help. Maybe, before too long I will be able to.
