Hallie 4 Weeks

We have now had our baby girl for 4 weeks!!! I cannot believe that she is already a month old. That seems impossible. But true enough and at 4 weeks we are really starting to get the hang of this thing. Hallie is doing so much better with her schedule, she's got her days and nights figured out now and she is only waking up 1-2 times in the middle of the night!!! Yahoo!!!

She has also seriously got her eating figured out. In fact miss piggy is eating up a storm and is really filling out. Which you can tell from her pictures.

We had a slight set back this week when Hallie started having breathing issues. She would start to wheeze and be unable to catch her breath. The labored breathing was making it hard for her to get much rest and leaving us confused so on Friday I took her back to the Dr. just to see what was up and to make sure it wasn't anything to be worried about. It's not, thank goodness! Just a little inflammation in her bronchial tubes that they said would go away on it's own and just to use steam and the humidifier to ease her restlessness until it did. That worked great and she's hardly having any problems at all now. So no biggie!!! However, while we were back at the Dr. they checked her weight again and she had gained another 10 oz! In ONE week. She is now up to 8 lbz 11 oz. She'll probably be 9 lbs by the time I'm done posting this :)

But in all seriousness I'm so happy she's gotten the hang of both her eating and sleeping schedules, in case you haven't had a newborn...those are the big deals!!! So we're a pretty happy group right now! Plus now that Hallie is 4 weeks I am going to start slowly but surely introducing her to the world. She has pretty much stayed at our house since she was born, only venturing out to go to a couple of other homes but no public places. We will start getting back into the swing of REAL life now. Hope we can do it or rather I can do it...somehow I think grocery shopping with 2 may be a bit of a challenge!
