Week 8

Week 8 is not all that different from week 7 in the world of hallie. She is a sweet happy baby. She is coo'ing and smiling all the time. She eats well and sleeps through the night. My only complaint with hallie and it's not really a complaint just somewhat frustrating at times...

Hallie has really started to grow a deep attachment to me. She wants to be held by me ALL. THE. TIME. and she'd prefer to be fed by me. She just kinda really likes to be with me. She doesn't like to be put down and she doesn't enjoy the swing as much as aiden did which is too bad cause I loved that thing when he was this age. Aiden was never attached to me like this. In fact aiden didn't seem to have a preference between ben or I till about a year and then his preference became ben and I was ok with that. Hallie's has started now and she wants to be with me constantly. This is a bit of an obstacle when you don't have a maid, a nanny, a chef, a personal assistant to run errands and so on. Ben and I thought about it this the other night and when aiden was a tiny baby ben was home more often during the day. He was working at the hotels in Orlando so he would work either 7-3pm or 3-11pm. Either way he was home with us about half the day every day and then off 2 days a week. That's not the case right now. So hallie is definitely with me 90% of her day and is developing that level of attachment to me.

Other than that, hallie is easy and wonderful and beautiful! I have a bit of an attachment to her too :)

Well, she is just so stinking cute, Its Hard to pick. But, I would have to say that Day 53 is my favorite this week. Love the expression and the little purple shoes.

Too bad our little princess doesn't have any cute clothes to wear. haha. She is very lucky indeed. Just wait til she is a teenage girl and wants all those darling outfits. Sounds like you have the reason for the attachment thing all figured out. Maybe you need one of those baby carrier things hikers wear on their backs. Love you.

I totally know what you are talking about! With the attachment thing. It will get better, but might take some time and tears by Hallie (and you). She is just soooo beautiful, I can't pick my favorite picture. She is so expressive with her eyes. LOVE IT!!!!
