In true Aiden fashion, he has been less than excited about the change to his schedule. He doesn't do change well. He was ok with going back to school until he learned his teacher had changed, his classroom had changed, the kids in his class had changed and now he's having somewhat of a tough adjustment. He asks for his old teacher quite a bit but hopefully in the next couple weeks we'll all get the hang of the change.
It's different for mommy this year also with trying to get aiden to school and then having miss hallie solo. The last couple years whenever aiden would go to school, that would be my free time to run around like a crazy person trying to get everything done! Well now with hallie it's much slower going...working around naptime and whatnot but hopefully we'll get into a groove.

Aiden took cookies to his teacher for the first day.
"with you as my teacher, I'll be one smart cookie!"
And we made these little pencil/ crayon treats for the kiddos in his class. They didn't turn out exactly the way I hoped but what ya gonna do??

FIRST DAY!!!

In front of his classroom
And with his teacher

Ready to LEARN! :)
Now after the first week I have learned the things aiden doesn't like about school is that they have no "snappers" (kitchen tongs) or spatulas, or vaccuum's (vacuum attachments) to play with at school. Go figure! Aiden's pretty distressed about their lack of "toys". Again hopefully in the coming days he'll be able to adjust to that. He is however excited about being back with his buddies. Some of the kids we know from church and some were in his class before so along with the "no snappers, no spatulas" report I also get who was his best friend that day which is fun! His stories about his friends are always entertaining and always seem to end with someone went to "time out" hmmmm...
And just for fun....see how aiden has grown and changed in the past 3 years of him going to school.

I love my precious, amazing, little boy with the huge heart!!!! And hopefully the kitchen utensils and vacuums are just a phase....or maybe'll he'll be a chef?? Either way I love him to pieces!

love, love to see and hear about his school adventures. He is one sweet, cute, smart little boy.
He has not changed as much as I thought he would. Always love his smiles.
I love the "Back to School" posts. Again, so glad that we have the capability of posting pictures side by side like that. Enjoyed seeing him grow. You are such a good room Mother! Aiden's teachers are always going to love having you as a resource.
