Last week was spring break here in arlington. I'm not gonna lie I was a bit intimidated by the thought of having all 3 of my angels home alllll day every day and with the hours ben has been working. I mean my kids only go to school for a few hours twice a week but even so those hours sometimes are what stands between me and insanity. SO yeah I was a little bit nervous. But in hindsight- it was completely uncalled for. We had the absolute BEST week. It was a BEAUTIFUL week here in texas. Filled with sunshine but still cool enough to be completely comfortable outside. Just absolutely perfect. I so enjoyed this time with my kiddos!
So on Monday we played outside
and we met daddy for a pizza lunch
On tuesday...we did even more playing outside, you will very quickly start to see a theme here :)
Oh and I take way too many pictures of the kids but they're just so cute!
And so much fun!
This kid! I swear he cracks me up! This is when he ran inside and came back out with "snacks for everyone!" Such a goober!
On wednesday, we woke up and had a picnic breakfast of donut holes in the living room while watching cartoons
Then we got dressed and went to Fort Worth to meet gigi for lunch, playtime and a haircut.
We sat on the patio at central market and had lunch
and sipped lemonade
and played at the little park/ play area there
and charley got a little snooze in the sun
Love these kids!
When it was naptime I brought the littles home and gigi took aiden to get a haircut and then out for ice cream
She sent me this picture. Awesome.
Wednesday night ben & I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning preparing a treat for the kids to wake up to on thursday morning.
A play castle. Complete with a tunnel of wonders that has christmas lights in the top for stargazing, reading, or what have you.
Excited about their castle
We had many hours of fun in this thing.
We did go outside for lunch though cause the weather was just too beautiful to spend the whole day indoors. Yes they look like they haven't had their hair brushed or been out of the house...well cause they hadn't :)
Friday and the last day of spring break...We went to the park to play, feed the ducks and have lunch.
All smiles. Such a happy baby.
knock knock
Yes I see you sweet girl!!!
And you sweet boy!
Feeding the ducks
More playing & smiling
And now time for some yummy chick-fil-a lunch
and then home for more castle playtime
In the tunnel
Sweet brothers in the yard.
We had a ton of fun playing all week. But the kids weren't the only ones who had fun on spring break! Ben & I got some stuff done too!!! We did some major landscaping projects. Cleared out beds, planted, mulched, and made new beds. So now we are ready for SPRING!
Front beds
New beds around all the trees in the front yard
Our side bed full of hydrangeas.
And back flower bed, brand new with 5 knock out rose bushes. Grow grow grow!!!
And because I'm a little bit nutty...I decided NOW was the time to give our old outdated front door a makeover.
Before
And after
The front of our house. All spruced up, looking new and pretty for spring!
We had a great, fun, and productive spring break. Loving this weather and hoping it sticks around awhile!

love all the stuff you planted in your flower beds. You motivated me to get going on some spring color.
