After our big afternoon out we made the trek across town to see my cousin Kyle play friday night football. Most of the family came out to see this game and it was Aiden's first football game so it was a special night. Although the bad news is that Aiden was not a huge fan of the game. He was VERY scared by the loud noise, horns, whistles, and of course we sat next to the band...all that combined to create a very scared and fussy little boy. He spent the majority of the game being comforted by different family members. The good news is Kyle played great and they won the game!
Saturday morning I headed over to my parents house with Aiden and GIGI, POPPY, (my parents), me and Aiden went to lunch at McKinley's. They were so happy to see aiden because it had been over 2 weeks since they had last seen him however; they did not immediately realize how busy and into everything he has become. My mom had JUST gotten her salad with some kind of raspberry vinigiarette (pink) dressing on the side and in less than a second aiden had grabbed it and spilled it everywhere! haha After that they learned to push everything far away from his grabby hands! Mom and I went shopping a little bit and then home and let poppy watch aiden while we went back out to do more SERIOUS shopping! I got some beautiful things for my belated birthday! Happy birthday to me! And other than a diaper put on backwards....poppy and Aiden did pretty good by themselves! Ben came to my parents house after he got off work saturday night and we all had dinner together. Sunday we all went to church and brunch afterwards and then just to hang around the house sunday afternoon. My mom and I were looking for pictures for my brother's wedding slideshow when ben called us in the room....Aiden started crawling this afternoon!!! Yay!!! He finally has really got the hang of it and it is so funny how he just all the sudden decided to get up and go. I have a video for all of you to see but I will upload it tomorrow! It was great though...just like he was waiting until he could command his audience because mommy, daddy, gigi, poppy, and uncle jarod were all there for the first crawl! It is time to start baby proofing everything!! Nothing is safe anymore! Oh and also about the pics for the slideshow....in case you have been wondering who aiden looks the most like...I can answer it is most definitely uncle jarod!!! We were looking at baby pictures of jarod and they are IDENTICAL! Other than Aiden has his daddy's beautiful blue eyes, they are spitting images. They even both got their middle bottom two teeth first. I told my mom I want some of those pics once they are scanned to show them on the blog. Anyways it was a great weekend. Oh Yes.....he is in to EVERYTHING. He is busy and strong. He has also learned how to get what he wants.
He likes to hear how many levels his voice can go.
He is a happy healthy baby.
I am so glad that it worked out for yall to come back to Texas. It is such a blessing to be close to family. Poppy and Gigi are going to have such a good time watching Aiden grown. And with practice - Poppy might even get that diaper on straight! ha ha
