Hallie Update= 35.5 weeks

It's hard to believe but the time for Hallie to arrive is almost here. I am getting to that stage in my pregnancy where I'm more uncomfortable, more exhausted, and more irritable than before so therefore I'm about ready to be done with this journey. Only a little over 4 weeks left to go till my due date or as I like to say 32 days. Sounds like less right? I'm to the point where I'll be spending lots of time with my Dr. I will start seeing him every week and this next week we're gonna do one last sonogram to see how big baby girl is. I'm excited about that cause I didn't have a sonogram done with aiden when I was this far along so it will be interesting. I'm also interested to see when she actually comes...Aiden was 3 weeks earlier and everyone says you tend to do the same thing with your 2nd pregnancy that you did with your 1st, actually 2nd babies are more commonly born early than 1st babies so I'm excited to see what's gonna happen. Will she be 3 weeks early like Aiden? Will she wait till her due date? Any guesses??? Let me know what your wager is!

As far as us, we are READY for miss thang! Her room is completed. All her clothes, blankets, towels, burp cloths, bibs, etc. are washed and put away. We have toured the hospital and know what we're doing. We even took aiden to the hospital and have talked extensively with him about what to expect when she comes, hopefully preparing him for the transition. We shall see. All he really seems to be clear on right now is that we're gonna go to the hospital to get hallie, he is very aware of her room and her things, anything he sees that is pink he will point at and say "that's baby hallie's" if you ask him who his baby sister is he will answer with "hallie" but I'm not positive he knows what the word "sister" means. He's sometimes aware that she's in my tummy and thinks she will come out of my belly button, other times when you ask him where she is he'll say "outside". It's always either "mommy's tummy" or "outside". Don't know why.

So that's the update for now. I will now share her completed room. I have been designing this room in my head since September when I found out she was a girl. It's been quite difficult to formulate into words what the picture in my head looked like so I had a lot of people give me responses like "you want to do what???" or just give me weird looks or fake smiles that didn't do a good job concealing their skepticism but that's all OK cause I knew what I wanted. I wanted a trendy, bold, elegant, parisian inspired baby girl room. With black, pink, and green. And that's what I got. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The room looks like ME to me and not like what every other baby girl's nursery looks like. So I'm happy but I realize it's not for everyone...

Looking into her room from her door.
Her crib. This is the only part that is not 100% completed. At some point her monogram initials will be above her crib. I just have to find exactly what I'm looking for. I'm picky.
The other side of her room, her changing table/ dresser.
The whole wall with her closet door.
Absolutely LOVE her ballerina bow holder.
And the other side of the room, looking from the closet.
Her beautiful armoire, her name letters which I originally thought would go over her crib until I realized I didn't like the "busy" look it created on that wall and decided I want to do just the monogram. Hallie's super elegant diaper bag which matches her room :) and of course her laundry basket.

So that's her room and the update on Miss Hallie. We are excited and ready to meet her. When do you think she'll come???

What a great looking room for Hallie! I love the letters, did you do those? The only thing needed is her! My money is on the 7th - 10th. Yes I am picking more than one day.

Baby Hallie has a very pretty room. Love the chandelier. Love seeing the bassinet out and being used again. We have to make sure to get a lot of pictures of Hallie in the bassinet before we store it again for the next baby. I wish we had pictures of ALLLLLLL the babies that have been in that bassinet. That would make such an intersting album with so many stories.

You nailed it! Beautiful room.

I LOVE THE ROOM!!! It is beautiful. You need to submit this to some magazine. You have many talents. I am going with Feb.8 (Sophie's birthday) or Feb.14 (Carly's birthday). Excited about having another girl (Hallie) in Feb. Charley wants Hallie to look just like you.
