Happy 2011

This past weekend we drove to possum kingdom lake to spend the new years weekend at my parents lake house. We left as soon as we could friday evening and got there in plenty of time to enjoy ringing in the new year.

Aiden was excited about the blow horns and hats and was very good at saying "happy new year!"

I think the blow horns start to look like smoking pictures? It's still fun nonetheless!

New years day, is there anything better than waking up to the serene quiet and COLD of the lake. Aiden kept wanting to play on "poppy's bridge" and to ride on poppy's boat. It was way too cold for any boating adventures but aiden did get to play/ walk out to the dock many times.

And along with celebrating the new year, we were celebrating TCU football all day. Go Frogs!!

Later into the afternoon/ evening. Mom made us a yummy meal of hoppin john for the new year and we went outside to make smores and stay warm by the fire.

Happy 2011!!!

We relaxed most of the day sunday before heading back to the metroplex. It was a memorable weekend for sure but not necessarily because of what's going on in these pictures. I am writing a very in depth post on what else has been going on in our lives since Christmas. Stay tuned...
