So it's confession time...Having 2 kids has rocked my world. Yep yep sure has. BUT...
-I've gotten the hang of getting everything I need to get done on any given day.
-I've learned to do the required errands with both of them in tow.
-I've figured out how to stagger their eating times so they aren't both needing undivided attention at the same time.
-I've learned how to survive without coffee until around 10am when I will have a break to sit and actually drink my first cup of coffee.
-I've actually learned how to get by without eating myself pretty much until around 3pm and they're both asleep and then I go scarf down the first thing I find in the kitchen. (bad for dieting! But that's a whole other battle!)
-I've gotten them on roughly the same schedule so they both take middle of the day naps. Usually!!! If not then it's a very bad day for me.
-I've figured out how to do our night time routine where both kids get bathed, individual parent time, songs, and prayers.
So all in all I've figured out a lot of things. We are slowly (4 months in!) but surely getting back to being the kind of mommy I want to be! But what has severely taken a back seat is my fun time with aiden. Aiden was just really getting to the age where he & I were having so much fun doing mommy & me and since the end of my pregnancy/ hallie came...it's been pretty sad. I still try to do fun things with him on mondays but they're much much lower key than they were. It's one of those things I make myself feel supremely guilty about.
Soooooo I said all of that to say....now that I've gotten the hang of all that other mandatory stuff, It's time to get back to FUN!!!! So for the summer Aiden & I have made up a "SUMMER FUN LIST" and I have written them out in a big old fat list that I have attached to our kitchen wall so there's no getting around NOT doing what we're setting out to do. We'll mark them off as we do them. We're gonna have lots of FUN this summer. And hopefully this will prepare me to restart up mommy & me in the fall. Believe it or not a LOT of planning used to go into mommy & me and I just don't have the time or energy for that kind of thing right now so I'm trying to be realistic but still have tons of FUN with aiden. After all that's what it was always supposed to be about, spending time with aiden, doing fun things with him. Being a fun, attentive, playful mom with him. Creating memories and cherished moments with him while I am blessed enough to stay home.
So here's the list!!!! Loads of FUN headed our way!!!

***By the way some of these things have already been done, I just haven't yet blogged about them or crossed them off.

I love summer list. I use to have reading summer list. I remember the summer I made the reading list and you had read all your books on the way to Gatlinburg. Jarod took dramimine and went to sleep.
Aiden will love the summer fun list.
Good luck!
