Santa Visit

On the 12th and Final Day of Christmas FUN!!!

We had a really special treat, because Aiden was such a good boy this year (at least most of the time) and it was Hallie's 1st Christmas...Santa made a surprise visit to our house a couple nights BEFORE Christmas to visit with the family & pass out just a few gifts...

Of course Santa let mommy & daddy know he was coming so that we could prepare accordingly.

We invited all of our family over for a pre-holiday festivity

And we all sat around laughing

and chatting

and waiting

and smiling!!!

Until....We heard something....what was that outside?? I think we hear sleigh bells!!! Who is that aiden??

It was amazing that he immediately thought and said "IT'S SANTA!!!!"

He ran to the door to check and see!!

Yep he's here!!!

It's Santa!!!

(I am still sick with myself that we didn't video aiden's reaction. It was priceless and since a couple of us were not in the room, we had to help Santa park his sleigh and just heard the squeals and saw the excitement through the windows, I'd love to be able to watch it again... Oh well ya live & learn)

Hey Santa

Hallie-Santa is here!!!

Santa came in and talked to aiden for a little while. He had definitely been watching aiden while he was at the north pole. He asked Aiden about poppy's big red boat, he asked about Aiden's T-ball team, he even remembered seeing aiden on our trip to the north pole on the polar express!

Then Santa started to dig into his big bag

and had a BIG present for Aiden

It was a rescue set complete with a helicopter, boat, & fire engine. A few of Aiden's favorite things!

Santa even brought something for Aunt Beth.

And for Hallie

Look Santa brought Christmas PJ's for mamaw

And matching ones for Gigi!!! :) That Santa, how did he know that we always wear matching christmas PJ's for christmas eve!!!

And for grandpa...

Santa brought gift cards to the men, Santa must also know that they guys aren't all that big on Christmas PJ's.

After everyone had received something from Santa, we all feasted on Christmas cookies & sweets, appetizers, and wings.

Aiden LOVED his present from Santa and rarely left it the rest of the evening

Although being the sweet big brother he is, he did play tea set with hallie for a couple minutes

Mamaw was the one who was able to contact Santa at the north pole and arrange for him to come see our family a bit early this year. Awesome job mamaw!!!

After Santa left we had some more playing, eating, chatting, and laughing time as a family.

Jarod & Hallie. Jarod is doing Hallie's "tongue thing" back at her. I hope to make a collage of hallie with that tongue. It's very much her thing right now and it's so cute!
