The Polar Express

On the 7th Day of Christmas... :)

We went over to Grapevine to ride the Grapevine Vintage railroad's version of the "Polar Express" We did this with aiden last year and it was a hit!!! We've rode the train several times since then for various reasons/ occasions and Aiden is always a huge huge fan. This time was no different.
We bundled up for the north pole (and cause it was actually really cold this afternoon) and dressed in our Christmas pajamas to catch the train to the north pole .
We took a few pictures with decorations. I didn't get as many of Grapevine this year as I did last year, mostly cause my arms were a little more full with the addition of hallie this year...and cause I knew I already had them from last year. So click that link to see how festive downtown Grapevine is.
Hallie & daddy
Hallie was of course precious in her white winter coat, pj's and candy cane hat
TICKETS!
Aiden got to make an ornament before boarding the train

Sitting in the tent waiting on the show to start

Aiden really enjoyed the singing and dancing of the show this year. He sang along and clapped and smiled.

ALLLLLL Aboard!!!
You get snowed on as you walk through the maze of Christmas trees to board the train.
On the train and we are excited!!!!
These are my 2 favorite pictures of the night. My kiddos so precious and happy to be on the train! Christmas magic!
Aiden couldn't wait to watch out the window
and Hallie loved looking at all the twinkle lights in the train car
Aiden also reallly enjoyed watching this teenage girl "elf" sing & dance. He watched her constantly, smiled & waved at her. Such a little flirt!

Here Comes Santa Claus!
Hey there Santa!
Talking to aiden...
This year santa gave out bells to the children. I thought that was a neat new little touch.
Hallie loved her bell. Provided hours of entertainment!
Aiden still watching that girl.
Get this...Aiden ASKED me to take his picture with her!! And she was sweet enough to agree. When she got off the train (before the passengers) aiden said "I love that girl, she's my favorite girl I've ever seen" Ok there buddy....slow down :)
Getting off the train and walking through the platform of twinkle lights!!

Ok so I just wanted to include this side by side of aiden from last year and this year. I don't think he looks all that much different but this picture shows how much he's grown, from where his head hits on the sign, to how far his arms reach. I just thought it was cool to see from both years.

How fun!!! I'm so glad the kids had a blast! Hallie looks really into it and seems to have had a ball! Aiden sure has grown. WOW!!!

Yep, you called it. The two best pictures are the ones that you said. Of course I also like the ones that show how excited Aiden is.

And the side by side comparison is really neat. He has definitely grown a LOT!

Well, a few observations:
1. I LOVE Hallie's Candy Cane Hat!
2. Love the excitement that they both show looking at the lights.
3. That girl Elf is at the North Pole. GET SOME SLEEVES!! She looks cold to me.
4. Can't believe how much Aiden has grown.
5. Enjoyed the Grapevine Polar Express.
