We got invited to go out and have a night at the ballpark and see the Rangers play and shockingly enough we were actually able to make it happen. Aiden was particularly excited to go and see the game (although he got confused who we were seeing and what sport it was more than once but the excitement was withstanding!!) Jarod wasn't able to make it- I don't remember why- he's very busy. But the rest of my family went. We met Gigi, poppy, Beth & molly at the ballpark and then got to eat a BBQ dinner at the hall of fame before taking our seats in the stadium.
Waiting on the boys to park the cars. This crowd looks like a lotta fun huh??
Inside the hall of fame. Aiden's favorite part of the dinner was the watermelon.
Hallie watching the game through the windows overlooking the field.
Time to take our seats. We had pretty goof seats too but here's where things got tricky...
Some of us enjoyed the game more than others.
Gigi seems to really be enjoying herself. I just love this picture.
Aiden was enjoying himself much more than this picture shows. He was being "too cool for school: cause those big biys sitting next to him became his instant best friends. No matter that they were at least 2-3 years older than him.
Hallie was having a grand ole time, as long as her gallon size popcorn held out, she was golden!
Beth, Molly, Poppy, Gigi, Hallie and Aiden. All having a good time. (Ben, Charley and I were sitting right in front of them. We had way more seats than we did people so we could spread out a bit.
Hallie actually really enjoyed the game. Clapping, popcorn, sitting in loved ones laps, these are a few of her favorite things.
This little booger bear however, had an AWFUL time. My sweet, constantly happy baby was beyond miserable this night :( We don't really think it was the night in particular, we think it had more to do with the loudness of the game cause anytime there was loud cheering, chanting, screaming, and clapping he would go into hysterics. I would get him calmed down and somewhat happy and then it would happen again. Over and over again. We actually took this picture cause I tried to hand Charley bear off to ben for just a couple of minutes and he was not having any of it, he was a big momma's boy this night.
Needless to say, we didn't end up staying the whole game. It was a little rough around the edges at times, but I still enjoyed the experience. It was fun to take the 3 kiddos to a game (especially with extra sets of hands to help) and we can mark Charley's 1st ranger game off the ole "to do list". Not sure when we might attempt to do that again. Maybe not till next season :)

What FUN!! You need to teach them the refrain from;
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME
We used to sing that all the time when we were growing up.

It would be a fun thing to sing together as a family every time you head to any ball game, including Aiden's. It goes like this.
Take me out to the Ball Game
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks,
I don't care if we ever get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't wint it's a shame!
For it's, 1, 2, 3 strikes you're out,
At the old ball game.
Listen to it on You tube. :-)
Here ya go!!
