For memorial day weekend ben took an extra couple days off work so that we could have a looong relaxing lake weekend. We couldn't leave for the lake until after aiden's tball game on saturday morning but after the game was over we ran home to pack up our van and head out. We got to the lake mid afternoon and this time we took several blow up pools that had been handed down to us to set up in the backyard at the lake for the kids to play in in-between boat times. Aiden especially has been known for asking incessantly when boat time would be and so we thought this might provide a little distraction in those "down times".

He had a great time playing in the pools solo while his little brother and sister took afternoon naps.
He also got a bit of a pool lesson from daddy. This didn't last all that long- Aiden may not be quite ready for the concentration that pool requires.

The when hallie woke up it was boating time.

Jarod & beth got to the lake saturday evening and so aiden got to ride on the jet ski with jarod for just a little bit before calling it a night.
Sunday morning the kids again got to play in their pools while breakfast was being prepared and people were getting up and with it.

Charley bear & miss molly even tried out the baby pool. However it was a wee bit cold for the wee ones!
This is classic big brother/ lil sister. I have no idea why and neither did hallie but aiden would tell her to line up on the wall and then run to the pools and so she would!
Little fearless girl got out there on the jet ski with jarod but only for a couple of minutes. I was against this but jarod rarely listens to me when I am saying NO!

On memorial day we got up and went to the pancake breakfast at the lions club. Then home for some boating and getting decked out in our flags finest.
Gigi a.k.a. Ms. Liberty had bought us all glasses, leis, glow in the dark bracelets and a million flags. We were ready to honor our country!! Not to mention the oh so cute flag outfits that mamaw had gotten for the grand babies for the 4th of july but we decided to put to good use on memorial day as well!

But put it all together....and we weren't very succesful. This is the best of the cousin pictures- before the full out crying and screaming started.
Trying to see if I could get any better of just my 3...nope...not gonna happen. Well that's reality for ya!
Happy Memorial day! It was a wonderful weekend with priceless memories, even if the flag pictures didn't turn out as planned!
