Spring Fever

Everyone in my family is somewhat better. Better enough that I'm gonna call it "better"! Ben still keeps me up at night with his coughing and sneezing but he says he feels fine. Aiden is still somewhat more fussy than usual but I am sad to say that may be due to his extreme spoiling. So to the point of my post...which don't get too excited cause it's not an exciting post! haha

The weather here has been AWESOME! It is SOOO pretty outside. Not hot, just breezy, beautiful, sunny spring weather. I love it.  I have been having a serious case of spring fever. I want to be outside! Aiden and I have just been going outside (in our back yard) and I just sit in a chair and soak up sunshine and he toddles around. I take him in the front yard and pull him around in the wagon and on the sidewalk. But that's about it. I need some fun outdoor activities I can do with a one year old. I was talking to ben last night about something we could get for the backyard like one of those toddler slide things or a sandbox or a baby pool but he thinks our backyard is too sloped for any of that. We would have to put it on the 12x6 slab that we have and that's not really enough room for anything fun. I would love to get/ do something though so that aiden can get used to playing/ being outside and I would love it also. I know I can take him to the park but in all honesty he's not that fun at the park. He stares around with a blank expression and not really liking any of it plus I really can't take him to the park EVERY DAY that's not realistic. So here's the interactive part...help me come up with things we could do/ buy/ get for the outside for aiden and I to play! Here are 2 pictures of our backyard in case you haven't been to our house. You can see the slope and slab I was referring to.

Just roll down the hill! Was fun when I was young. :)

No we had a small square slide climbing thing for Kat when she was 1. She loved it. Nice and small so you could put it on the slab with a rug for cushion.. I will send pics.. Otherwise, I would get bubbles, a large bouncy ball, maybe just bring some of his toys outside and put a nice outdoor rug out there and just let him play outside like he would inside.. A puppy would be fun!!
