I tossed and turned the other night worrying myself, trying to figure out what we were gonna do. In the morning I had come up with an idea (yep secret option #5). We took the mattress off the platform and laid it on the floor and then built the crib around it and anchored it. So now he's basically still in the crib but it's about a foot taller cause the mattress is on the floor sooooo he's not tall enough to crawl out anymore. It will work temporarily. He will learn to monkey crawl it, I am sure but it only has to work temporarily until he is just a little bit older and can understand a little bit better.
Speaking of...Aiden is getting smarter by the day. His vocabulary is really taking off and he understands a little bit more every day. Everyone got on to me for ever saying he was "behind" and he wasn't ever really behind just his speech wasn't as quick as his motor skills. NO longer the case! Aiden now knows the meaning of and can say 31 words!!! I say "knows the meaning of" because he will mimic pretty much anything you say to him, but he will never use the word again or knows what it means so 31 words that he uses in his own speech! He's growing up so quickly! No longer my baby...

He is also STARTING to put words together. Like when I was in orlando he would out of no where say "where daddy?" and hold up his little hands. He also says "go outside" or "where ball go" or "what's that?". Yep i think it will only be a couple more months before we have a full blown chatterbox on our hands!
So I was talking to my mom on the phone and telling her how he would repeat these words back to me so I thought I'd try to get it on video. He did fairly well! I thought once he saw the camera he wouldn't even try but we got most of the words. My problem was that then I couldn't remember all the words I should have tried to get him to say!

I think you need to video tape him saying these words. It will be so special to you someday.
do you have your time machine backing all this up?
I speak from experience......if you lose this you will be sick!
It takes a very long time for the video to load.
It is worth it though.
Just want to point out that the screwdriver that he is using to scrap against the wall and the furniture is plastic.
I am really glad that you pointed that out. I am fretting over that screwdriver the WHOOOOOOOOOOle time!! ha ha

Loved the part close to the end where he looks to have his hand on his hip while talking. Too funny! We need to get together soon. Love seeing Zac play with Aiden...or attack him...cute!
