To back up a second. We got in from Kyle's game on friday night very late and then stayed up to pack for austin and we finally went to bed around 12:30? We had to be up by 4:30AM and tommy and sherry picked us up at 5:30. What an early morning!!! Many cups of coffee were drank and I can say I personally was looking fairly rough...and it only got rougher throughout the day! We arrived in austin around 9ish and went to sherry's cousins apartment to drop our stuff and then head to the tailgating on campus. People cooking out and drinking at 9 in the morning seems wrong to me on many levels??? But it was a great time! I personally did not partake in the beer drinking or cook out food eating but I enjoyed sitting in the chairs, chatting with people (ok sherry and ben...I felt out of my element and didn't venture out to meet any of the tailgaters). Good times though! Then it was time to go into the 11 AM game and our seats were pretty good. They were high but we actually HAD a seat and that in and of itself is a plus over the last game I attended! And we had a pretty decent view. The game was never really intense, like I said not much competition from the good old UCF knights!
Tommy actually ate at the tailgate!!!
Tommy and sherry at tailgate...arent they cute???
Ben and I at tailgate. Start noticing here...I look ok, definitely tired, definitely not enough makeup but ok.
Tommy, Sherry, and Ben getting ready to head into the stadium
Looking over the field. Hook em!
The longhorns entering the stadium
Praying before the game, pretty cool I think.
Halftime. The alumni band played in honor of veterans day and spelled out "TEXAS VETERANS" on the field! Pretty cool!
The boys watching the game
The girls watching the game...notice the hair is now up slicked back with sweat, starting the decline!

Sherry and I
Some crazy guy took the picture of all 4 of us but glad he took it!

After the game we went back to the tailgate but not for very long. Then we started our walk across campus, yes it was a far walk and it was thanks to me cause I said we could do it! But it was fun, got to see more of the campus. We went to the square where we actually saw a couple getting engaged. I took pictures and then once she had said yes, we went over and asked them if they would want me to send them the pictures. I got her email address and sent them yesterday. Kind of fun! And probably a little intrusive at the same time...hey I just caught your very private moment on my camera, but then again if they wanted privacy he should have proposed somewhere not in the middle of campus on game day! So then we went to the co-op (campus bookstore) where I think ben thought he had died and gone to heaven. Never have I ever seen so much Longhorn stuff in the same store before! Then sherry's cousin picked us up and we went and sat at a sports bar type place where we watched more football on TV and ate. Then we walked around an outdoor shopping area and ended the night at yet another sports bar type place with yet another football game! Whew!! It was a very long day for those of us that got up at 4:30 AM but it was an excellent time! After the game, ben and I.
The boys posing with statue after the game, they were not very good troopers about taking this picture!
Sherry and I happily posing with this awesome jeep outside the stadium! This is a real fan!
Sitting on the wall at the tailgate part 2....notice the increasing decline...Sherry looks awesome, hate her!
The clock tower, center of campus.
Ben and sherry doing the horns behind him!
