Summer fun- Museum School

As part of the summer fun list I enrolled aiden in a week of museum school at the fort worth museum of science & history. They have a year round school that people are always raving about but they also have a few "camps" during the summer for a week at a time. The youngest you can go is 3 and fully potty trained. So this was aiden's first opportunity.

This camp was called "native america" but aiden would call it his indian school. Not exactly PC. They did lots of arts and crafts and learned a lot about living on reservations, the animals, the food, etc. It was only for 2 hours every day and only for one week but gave us a taste of what museum school has to offer. I was impressed. He's signed up to go to another "camp" the first week in august that's called "Under the Sea". We'll see how that goes before making a decision whether I want to enroll him in museum school for the school year. I'm just not sure I'm ready for all that. I like having him home with me while I can. We'll see! He sure did enjoy it!

Aiden with all of his creations from the week. I love this "cheese" face!!!

I LOVED working in Museum School as a practicum at TCU. It was so much fun to do entire weeks themed around different things like turtles, ocean life, frogs, etc... SUCH a fun age!! :)
