Family Day December 19th= POLAR EXPRESS!!!

In Lieu of mommy & me this week (the week of christmas) we had a very magical family day!! I'll let the pictures do the majority of the story telling but we went to Grapevine and got on the "North Pole Express". Aiden got to wear his PJ's, see santa, make an ornament, ride a train, see a holiday show, play in the fun park, see christmas lights, watch an interactive Christmas light show. It was an amazing night! So here we go....ALLLLL ABOARD!!!!

For the North pole express :)
When we got there aiden got to make an ornament while we waited for our turn for the show/ train ride.
Aiden has his ticket for the Polar express and could NOT be more excited about getting on the train!
ALL ABOARD!!!
Is it our time yet???
Killing some time, eating corny dogs in line while we wait for our turn.
Let the show begin!!!
As part of the price of your train ticket you get to see a holiday show which is basically a big pep rally for the train ride, you sing carols, dance and get read excited!
Lovin it.
It's our turn!!!
As you board the train you walk through a maze of lighted christmas trees and snow falling down on you.
MAGICAL!
On the platform
SOOO excited.

Tickets please!
Have I ever mentioned that aiden LOVES trains?? He LOVES them.

Look who's coming?!?! SANTA!!!
Aiden actually didn't want to leave his seat next to the window in order to see santa until we told him he had to tell him he wants "trains and trucks" for Christmas. Then he hopped on over there to remind the Big guy in red not to forget his trains and trucks :)
Getting off the train, whew to the North Pole and back!!
Our train ride was perfect. We pulled out while it was still light outside and came back to a lighted with a million twinkly lights platform. So perfect.

It took a few try's on the camera to get the right setting so this is all blurry but it's 1 of the 2 pictures I'm in so I thought I would go ahead and post it!
So pretty.
After our train ride and playing in the fun park we went walking around downtown grapevine to see all the lights and sights we could see.
Grapevine calls itself "the Christmas capital of Texas" and they really do it up right!

Frosty

Downtown

Check out santa coming down the chimney
There were so many beautiful lights and displays, these were just a few.
Then we watched the interactive light display in the middle of town. It's set to music and was really cool.

After the light display we were cold and aiden was getting tired so we headed out to have dinner and head home.
Bye bye Polar express, thanks for the memories!
We came home and made a gingerbread TRAIN. We had cookies and hot chocolate and put together the train.

What an amazing family night. I think we jam packed everything we possibly could into this wonderful night. Aiden had a GREAT time on the polar express and we had a great time just watching him. This may have to become a family tradition :)

Merry Christmas!!!!
