Fun in the Fall

Alrighty before we get too far into the Christmas fun and winter happenings....I need to post a few things from our "fun in the fall"
I need to scan these pictures cause I tried to take a picture of the picture, so the lighting is off but these are the kids school pictures this year.
This was from election night. I felt the need to make a sort of "event" out of it since technically aiden was born before the 2008 election but this was the 1st presidential election in the lifetime of hallie & charley.
In case you can't tell by the way the kids are dressed, we're republicans...notice the map on the TV behind the boys. We were winning at this point!!!
Our 3 republican kiddos enjoying some election coverage!!
Yeah well so the republicans lost, sad :( Still a big day in America's history & I'm glad we honored it. We pray for our president and love our country regardless if we agree with the outcome. (how's that for politically correct??? :)

More fun in the fall...we've spent a LOT of time outside. Probably a little bit every day. Man I love cooler temps. Texas in the summer is just awful and so I love love love being able to take the kids out to play in the fall, even for just a little bit without getting all sweaty and yucky and needing sunscreen and also a bath!!!

Sweet girl playing with aidens t-ball stuff. She likes to knock the ball off the tee and then clap for herself.
Big boy.

Some of the thanksgiving treats we made for both school and again for thanksgiving happenings here at our house. Aiden loved the turkey cookies even though I originally made them for hallie's class at school they ended up being much more of an aiden treat!
Aiden was a big helper to me around thanksgiving. He helped me make cookies, pies, sausage balls.Anything & everything and he wanted to help mommy in the kitchen. I loved that!
This was some time over the thanksgiving holiday. I don't know which day but I love this picture of grammy with charley, so sweet.
 More playing outside
Raking & playing with leaves... I thought the raking would be the minimal part and then the kids would play but aiden wanted to keep raking. He loves to rake the leaves. Go figure.
 Hallie throwing leaves

And pushing that lawn mower some more

And finally a pic of our completed "thankful" tree from this year. We do this every year, I didn't document it all that well this year but we did do it. All 5 of us have a leaf of thanksgiving from every day in november. We are incredibly blessed and incredibly thankful!!!

Now I can move on to all of our christmas craziness with no guilt since I covered the "fall".  Give me a break, I'm doing my best to keep up, I had a baby in the fall after all :)
