Christmas day turned into a SNOW day in texas!!! I couldn't believe it. Not sure it has ever snowed on christmas day here before. Or at least that I can remember. It definitely added to the magic of the day. The rain/ storm turned into snow right after 1pm on christmas day. I know this cause we were trying to get our over excited children who were hyped up from christmas morning down for naps when the snow started to fall. I ran upstairs and got Aiden out of his bed and into his coat quickly to run outside to see the snow falling. When it snows in Texas you never know how much will come, if it will stick or what so I didn't want him to miss it. He asks when it will snow ALL. THE. TIME. Our little boy remembers everything and he still talks about when we had "all that snow" the year hallie was born. Almost 2 years ago now. So anyways we went outside lickity split just so that he could see the snow coming down. I took this little video on my phone so the quality isn't great but Aiden was excited!!
It continued to snow ALL afternoon. It was beautiful. I went outside to take some pictures during naptimes of our house & neighborhood. Again- not being too sure how long it would last.
Our house. It was still snowing.
Part of the neighborhood
Then when aiden & hallie got up I sat up my new tripod from my awesome hubby to take a family picture!!!
The 5 of us on Christmas day in the SNOW!
We bundled up the kiddos and took them out to play/ see the snow.
Hallie immediately took her gloves off and began to eat the snow. No good hallie. She wasn't a big fan though so I took her inside with Charley pretty quickly.
More shots of our house, front yard, etc. with snow on them
Aiden wanted to rake the snow. Go figure.
It was really cold so we came back inside to play some more.
The next afternoon (the 26th) when the snow had mostly melted we went outside to play with our toys more. And of course throw some melted snow at each other :)
Getting the hang of driving his car
Hallie was much more interested in swinging than playing in her car. She was really upset when it was covered in snow and she wasn't allowed to swing. It's her favorite outdoor activity.
Look out, here comes trouble :)
This was my last post about Christmas- I know everyone is excited to hear that. I really wish I was a good enough writer to put into words what an amazing christmas this was. I'm not sure if it's the ages our kids are at or just how incredibly blessed we are or if being able to be at our home all day on christmas day had something to do with it, or the snow...or maybe a little of all of that. But I think this Christmas might be my most favorite christmas to date. From being with our parents/ grandparents in the morning, to watching my kids enjoy their presents from santa, to playing in the snow as a family, to watching "it's a wonderful life" with Ben after we tucked our babies in bed. It was definitely one of the most magical days of my life. I enjoyed and cherished every single moment that day. It was a very very merry christmas for our family of 5 and I am ever so grateful for all these wonderful memories I have from this holiday season.

OK....I'm much older than you and can't remember EVER having a white Christmas in TEXAS. We couldn't believe the snow either! So exciting...and on Christmas DAY!!! Who cares what others say...I LOVE the Christmas posts...!! :) Those cars are just too much! LOVE 'em!!
everything looks so beautiful with the snow. Magical indeed!
I'm not sure Charley is loving it?
You are right. Can't remember it snowing on a Christmas day, but when yall were still living on Branchview we had Christmas there one year where it took us all FOREVER to get there because the ice (and a little snow) was sooooo bad. Again we weren't celebrating on Christmas day. It was about a week before Christmas, but still quite pretty and treacherous. Mamo and Papaw couldn't make it from Hope, so they turned around and started home. But, Mamo got so upset, she made PaPaw turn around again and push forward. They finally made it!! ha ha
Love your snow and love your pictures. You know me? I am just wondering how Hallie's little WHITE fuzzy boots held up after playing in the snow? ha ha
