Easter 2009 Picture palooza!

We woke up easter and I had made blueberry muffins for Ben and Aiden but ben didn't want his picture taken with the muffins so we don't have that. Then we moved on to seeing what the easter bunny had brought for aiden!

Nothing like eating chocolate at 8am!

Daddy tries to get some chocolate! Then we got ready and headed to church. I took no pictures of that! haha Then after church we went to dallas to meet up at the DAC with all the family for lunch.

Family pic. Then we all head back to mamaw's for our traditional cox family easter egg hunt. However it was rainy and not a very pretty day so we elected to have the hunt inside this year. The beautiful easter bunny ready to go with her basket full of eggs! the cousins minus Jarod and I. We were told we are too old to hunt. Ben and I watching the hunt. This is how aiden hunts with one egg in each hand and one in his mouth! It cracks me up.

Aiden kept an easter egg in his mouth for pretty much the rest of the afternoon. Mamaw also gave aiden an easter basket with a bunny and a book and a chocolate bunny. he carried it all around.

We all wanted aiden to tear into the easter bunny cake...like his birthday cake. Mom even got him a special bunny bib for the occasion.

These are my favorite pictures. Wonderful Uncle Jarod decided aiden was not "digging in" well enough so he thought he would show aiden how it's done. And then when that didn't work Jarod thought he would physically MAKE aiden get into the cake! But it's ok because Aiden had the last laugh. He grabbed jarod's sweater vest with his icing covered hand! Way to go aiden! And lastly family pics before we go home. It was a really great easter. Aiden was only a week old his last easter so this was much more of a "first" easter for him. We didn't even get to take him to church last year. It was also wonderful that all 18 of our family was able to be there. We have so many that it is likely that at any given get together a couple will be missing but we had everyone!! It was a great day!
