Mavs Game

Yesterday we took Aiden to his first mavericks game. We knew it would be a long hard day for him because of church and then only a short nap before having to leave for the game. Plus Aiden doesn't always do well with loud noises and it's pretty much REALLY loud constantly at mavs games. When we got there Aiden just sat still in my lap with huge wide eyes for the first quarter. He didn't smile, he didn't cry....just HUGE wide eyes looking all around. About the 2nd quarter he started to get used to it and wanted to squirm and get down and we had to start feeding him snacks and letting him walk the row. Luckily no one was in the 5 seats next to us. Half time we walked around with him to keep him happy. The third quarter came and there was no more sitting down for him. We could do nothing to keep him happy. The short nap and getting up early coupled with all the loud noise had done him in and he started crying. We decided it wasn't worth it to sit and fight with him for the rest of the game so we packed up and left in the middle of the 3rd quarter. The good news is the mavs were up 20 pts against phoenix when we left. Who saw that coming? In fact it ended up being the highest scoring game for the mavs this season! Maybe aiden is a good luck charm! We got home and watched the end of the game on TV while aiden took his much needed nap. It was a good time even though we had to leave. He may not quite be ready for the games just yet but we look forward to taking him more when he is older and can sit better! We took a couple of pics...but of course we had planned to get someone to take a family pic of us after the game...which didn't happen. So the pics aren't great.
