Childbirth Class

Ben and I had our very first childbirth class last night. It was interesting. We got to see a video with some not very pretty images. We got to practice our breathing techniques and relaxation techniques. There are probably 10 other couples in our class so it was fun to get to talk to them and hear from them about their pregnancies. I am not sure how much we are going to like this class but at least we will feel more prepared when it comes time. It is only once a week for 5 weeks.

In other news I have started back to school and could not possibly feel more overwhelmed. My classes are going to be very time consuming and rigorous this semester. I am also nervous about what I will miss when the baby comes. Last night our teacher was saying how new moms need to rest for about 2 weeks before trying to go back to their routine. Yeah that is not going to work for me...I am on the more like 2 days plan. I can't afford to miss that much school, especially towards the end of the semester. I know it will all work itself out, but my nerves are getting the best of me right now.

Excellent! Dad and I went to a few of those classes.

I wish I could help you with your classes.

I am sure you will do fine.

Do everything as early as you possibly can.

I believe in Jenni with an"i". She and Amazing Ben can do almost anything!!!

I have heard that great grandmothers are great at taking care of babys for short periods of time. Wish you knew one---

One day at a time;don't look forward too far.

Both of you,or should I say the three of you, are loved so very much.

Love, Mamaw

TWO DAYS?! UUMMM good luck with that. You need to take it easy. Do that whole "sleep when the baby sleeps" thing. It will make all the difference in the world. You guys will do just fine. Wish I could come and help out.
Love you,
Sherry

Well, I felt pretty good after having mine. Depends on how long and difficult your labor is.. Maybe you will have an easy go and hopefully everything will work right with the epidural. I think you will be able to manage sitting in class or doing homework.. Just nap when the baby naps and let Ben and Mamaw and Mom and Ben's Mom take the baby whenever they can.. David was great about getting Kat up in the middle of the night, changing her and bringing her to me to nurse. He then would burp her, rock her and then put her back to bed. This helped a lot.. He was tired, but it allowed me to rest until I was 100% again..

glad kimberly remembered mamaw. i think mom and i went to one of those classes and thought most of those people were nuts. the pain you managed with the back surgery will help you with this. the breathing and mind control is the same. the epidural will make it easy. i cant wait.
love dad
