OB visit

well I went to the OB this morning for my check up. I had to do the blood glucose test which was DISGUSTING! They make you drink this really sugary orange drink on an empty stomach and then wait an hour to get your blood drawn. It is to test for gestational diabetes. So I will have the results from that in a week. If everything is good then I don't have to have any more blood drawn the rest of my pregnancy. Yay! After the glucose thing I saw my doctor and we did all the normal things. She measured my tummy and told me I am right on track for growth, I have gained 21 pounds so far which I think sounds like a ton but she told me they want to see at least 25 by the end and they don't like to see over 35 so.....I am on my way to being in the good range. They felt for aiden and they estimate by his size that he is about 4 and a half to 5 pounds already. Which is also very good, still a little on the big side but not by much. They are estimating he will be around 8 pounds at birth which I love. Of course that is only an estimation. They also checked for his position and he is already in the vertex (head down) position. Meaning he is ready to enter the world. However there is still plenty of time for him to turn again, but for now he is in the right position. My blood pressure is still good, 119 over 60 and aiden's heart rate was 148. So all in all the verdict is that we are both great. I will go back in 3 weeks, then 2, then every week. Yay!! we are definitely getting towards the end.
