Lake Weekend With Friends

Last weekend we had a TON of fun having 3 of our favorite families come out to the lake house with us. We put this date on the calendar months & months ago and I was so excited it worked out for us all to go!!! There were 8 adults and 8 kids (ages 6 and under) for the weekend. So that is a whole lotta fun! 

My family and the R family went down to the lake on friday night. We had pizza for dinner and smores for dessert before attempting to send our very wound up little boys to bed :)

Up and at it early saturday morning. We went out on the lake while we waited for the rest of our friends to arrive.

 And then the boys did some fishing off of the dock before breakfast. 

Breakfast time!! It's only slightly chaotic trying to get food prepared and eaten by 16 people at one time. We did just fine I think!

And then after breakfast it was time for us to all go out on the boat for some fun in the sun!

 Back to the dock & More fishing. 

This was a surprising favorite activity for the kids. They enjoyed swimming in the hot tub. We turned the heat down so it was more like a pool and they thought it was so fun! 

 The kids didn't get naps on saturday but they did all come in for some quiet relaxation time. Aiden learning how to play a game from lucas. 

 2 beautiful momma's to be!!! Kim is 23 weeks pregnant and miranda is 14?? Give or take a couple weeks but I'm due in the middle of them. So this time next year we'll have 3 new babies to add to our group :)

 This was another surprising thing the boys seemed to enjoy. Standing in the knee deep water when the jet ski ramp was down. Go figure.

 After dinner aiden really really wanted some more hot tub time before s'mores so daddy got in with both aiden & Hallie.

 Yeah and aiden started picking flowers instead? Silly sweet kid. He kept bringing me flowers all weekend. Sorry bout your flowers gigi & poppy!!!

 Sunday morning the guys helped clean up the kitchen after breakfast. They were fairly pleased with themselves!!!

The Whole group before people started shoving off. It was a really fun weekend. It was only slightly chaotic and loud with so many kids but for the most part they played well together and everyone had fun doing whatever they were into doing. We had some yummy food and some great times with friends. We will definitely have to make this an annual weekend and I think it will only get more and more fun as the kids get older.
