New Airplane at DFW

The Saturday after school let out Aiden, Hallie & I had an awesome opportunity to go see the new Boeing 787 dreamliner that just arrived at DFW. The new airplane will be a part of American Airline's  fleet sometime in the near future but I'm not sure if it will immediately even fly in and out of DFW because of its size.

Grammy& Grandpa invited us to be a part of this fun event, it was only for DFW & american airlines employees and their families and Grammy works at the airport. Lucky Us!! :)

There were lots more activities set up in this huge airplane hangar than just the airplane itself. They had little rodeo type things set up for the kids to enjoy while the parents waited in line to go through the airplane.
Hallie, NOT enjoying being sat on that horse..
Aiden trying out his roping skills.
 Such a cute lil cowboy!
And we waited and waited in line for aiden to ride on this mechanical horse/ roping bull contraption.
The idea was to ride on the horse (that looks more like a zebra) and also rope the bull that is riding alongside but aiden just enjoyed the ride and didn't try any roping.

Our turn to go through the Big airplane. Aiden was very excited and this is one NICE airplane. The windows are touch sensitive where you can make them however dark/ light you want. No shade needed.
 Sitting in business class.
 The cockpit.
Grammy looking beautiful lounging in 1st class. The only way to fly! :)

 Grandpa & Hallie
Checking out all the TV screens on the back of the headrests
My kids make friends wherever they go!
 Watching the little information video

They also had more entertainment that I didn't get pictures of. There was a band playing along with the cowboy stuff & they had free peach cobbler, ice cream & lemonade for everyone. This was a really fun way to spend a saturday afternoon and the best part was it was all FREE and we went early enough that the line was not bad. On the way out we saw what the line was gonna be like for the rest of the day and it was a GOOOOOD thing we were early and got to do everything without much waiting. Thanks for the invite Grandpa & Grammy!!
