Up until this week he was doing SOOOO good with his sleeping, he was sleeping "through the night" he would go to bed about 10:30 and get up anytime between 6:30 and 8. We were happy with this schedule...now last night for the first time (again since he was about a month or so old) he woke up at 2:30am and would NOT go back to sleep!! A couple of weeks ago he got stuck at 5:30 (I think I wrote about that) but we got him off that but now 2:30???? are you kidding me?? I thought we were WAY past ever having to see 2:30 again. So he gets up and then struggles through the rest of the night, sleeping on and off until get up time at 7:00 and then he eats and goes back to sleep until 1pm!!!!! What is that??? I am so confused!! Is he screwed up on what time it is? I have no idea....THEN he wakes up at 1 pm and you would think he would be STARVING right? He hasn't eaten in 6 hours! NOOOOO he eats 3 ounces and refuses to take anymore!!
Ben and I are so lost on what to do now. Should we all the doctor? Go see if something is wrong with him? He doesn't SEEM sick or anything, he is perfectly happy, we are the ones who are about to pull our hair out! I just don't understand he hasn't eaten this little since he was around a month old and I know he NEEDS more than what he is taking and now his sleeping is all off. I don't get it. I am confused and don't know what to do.

Okay, don't panic. As for the sleeping and waking again at 2:30. It is very normal for babies to go back and forth on the sleeping trough the night thing. He will gradually get back to a better routine. However, don't get too excited as he will have occasional lapses. He really has no idea about what time it is.
Now for the not eating thing. If he isn't doing better by Monday call your doctor! It is probably nothing, but it will ease your mind and, besides that, pediatricians expect to get these calls from time to time. That's what they earn tose big bucks for. Hang in there and keep us posted. I wish I was there to help you both get some sleep.
grandma karen said it best....don't panic. Call the doctor for your own piece of mind.
It will reverse itself.
I agree with all the above comments, however, when Blake started doing a similar thing, he ended up with an ear infection. I don't mean to scare you, but it happens and is possible. Don't stress about it, just call the doctor tomorrow and see what they say. And believe it or not, he could be starting some of the teething. It seems like they drool and stuff for ever and then those little boogers just pop through. My mom blamed everything in the first 2 years on teething. Try going from cool foods to warm and see if there is a difference on what he will take.
Don't worry, he will be just fine. Keep us posted, though. I love to read your blog.
Love you, Sherry
I think the ear infection is a good guess. The sucking and drinking make it hurt worse. If not, it may just be a little bump in the road. Just when we think they are on a schedule, they change it.. Power hungry little things!! Kidding.. Is he pooping normally??
You might try to see if Aiden is dehydrated. Our pediatrician told us that if you give a gentle pinch on the arm, you can tell. If the skin bounces right back, he is not dehydrated. If it stays in the pinched position for awhile, he may be dehydrated. That would be my concern if he wasn't eating well.
