We have made it to Louisiana!!! Aiden was a very good boy and slept most of the way. He was probably awake for only 2 of the 16 hour trip! Which made it go by MUCH faster. We had to stop most often when he was awake so I am VERY glad that we chose to drive through the night. Ben did a phenomenal job at driving! Poor guy packed us all yesterday and then had to drive for 16 hours so he was very exhausted. This morning we got in to Bossier City at around 10 am and visited with my aunt deb, cousin brittany, and papaw for a while before we took showers and got ready for a fabulous lunch that deb prepared for us. Then it was designated nap time. I took a 3 hour nap and ben and aiden are still snoozing! haha
We are so happy to have the majority of our trip behind us. We are going to stay here tonight and then head on to mamaw's (dallas) tomorrow morning. That is a very short trip compared to the one we just did. Should only take us a couple hours. Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts as we were driving. We greatly appreciate them!
Now I just have to say that ben's mom (mary ellen) just absolutely saved our lives by coming and doing what she did to help us move! That woman is amazing!!! She cleaned, she organized, she watched the baby, she supervised the packing, she saved us with her packing ideas, she made us an incredible last meal in orlando, the list could go on and on. There is no doubt in my mind that we just absolutely could not have done it without her. I would have had several melt downs and cried and it just would have been a nightmare! So thank you SOOOOO much to mary ellen, there are not enough words to tell you how grateful we are. You are amazing!
Now I do have to say that as we were leaving it really started to hit me and I got very emotional. It was harder than I anticipated to leave the place where we started our lives. I kept thinking how this was the first home ben and I had together, this was where I brought my baby home, our first home as a family. It was hard for me to leave it. Orlando was good to us and it will always hold a special place in my heart for those reasons. We are looking forward to the new chapter in our lives and whatever new home we will share as a family.
I took pics of the packing and moving that I will post when I get to texas tomorrow. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. Keep them up tomorrow! Love to all.

I am so glad Aiden was a good boy and your trip so far was successful. I am so grateful to Mary Ellen for being there for guidance as you took off with your trailer behind you and your car carrier on top. I have seen how she can work so I know that was a HUGE help.
Extra kudos to Ben for being the fabulous husband and father that he is. I hated you driving through the night but I was never worried because I knew you were in good hands.
I know PawPaw and the Hutches are eating Aiden up.
Can't wait to see you pull in Dallas.
Love you bunches.
DALLAS BABY!!!!! Can't wait to see you guys!! Love you all!!!!
Jen, thank you for the kind words. I am glad that I could be there to help. I guess it kind of helped me with the reality that you all were actually leaving Florida. I am so thankful that you arrived safely at Aunt Debs and that you have a much easier drive today. And I am sure that Aiden will be happy to see everyone when he gets to Dallas. Glad he has been such a good traveler.
love to you all.
Glad the first part of your trip went realy well because I heard the last leg was really awful. Mary Ellen said you gave AAA a piece of your mind. Good for you!!! I plan to do the same thing. Maybe we should look around for some other road service when it's time to renew. We'll talk. Someday this will be an interesting story to tell Aiden. By now you should be safe and sound at Mamaw's with all the bad stuff behind you. I know what you mean about being emotional leaving your first home. Even though you think about it ahead of time you still get caught off guard when you actually go to walk out the door for the last time. Most of us who have around for a while have had the same thing happen to us. Now for the next chapter of you lives.......
Love you all
