Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween 2010 was a great night for our family. We started off at our church's Trunk Or Treat where aiden got to play games and go from trunk to trunk getting candy! He didn't really have the concept down yet and was frequently caught telling people passing out candy to "put it in my bag" as opposed to "trick or treat". We worked on it though and by the end of the night he was a pro at all things halloween.

This one was a how hard you could hit game and aiden really wanted to play although he wasn't quite big enough to cause any real force.

And doing the cake walk. I think aiden played this game the most. So cute!

And of course...we had this same little car toy at our church's easter hunt and aiden still loved it. Big hit!

After about an hour spent at the trunk or treat we came home to meet up with some of our family that wanted to see aiden trick or treat this year.

And posing for a picture outside. Aiden frequently asks for his picture to be taken between these two trees, he remembers it from this spring. And now....TRICK OR TREATING!

I was so proud of aiden. He got the hang of it really fast and really enjoyed it.

Not as big as last years but unfortunately we were competing with people being out of town and the rangers being IN town for the world series so therefore. Ben, Me, aiden, gigi, mamaw, kim and aaron were who the entourage consisted of.

And pointing out dirty trucks and cool garages on the way. It kept cracking us up that he would tell people "nice garage" cause he was impressed that some of the houses had their garages on the front of the house. {we have ours in the back}

Then because we had an inpatient little boy and a mamaw with a hurt foot, we had aaron run back to our house and get the car to pick us up and bring us back home in.

We were coming down off a sugar crash! Sucker in each hand. Silly kid.

We spent the rest of our night eating dinner and watching the rangers lose and taking turns opening our door to trick or treaters. We have lots in our neighborhood and aiden got quite good at telling them halloween! Here's a little video for you to see how aiden would greet trick or treaters. He's very hospitable. We had a great halloween 2010 and aiden had a rude awakening monday morning. We have had to tell him over and over again that halloween is over and we can't walk down the street anymore and we can't get any more candy. It's hard being 2. He still wishes the occasional person "happy halloween" in his oh so cute sing-songy voice!
