10 weeks!!!

Well today marks 10 weeks in my pregnanacy and my baby's life. Tomorrow I go for my first real prenatal appointment. I am very excited and not really sure what to expect. I am hoping we will have a more concrete due date (although it is my understanding that such a thing does not exist), I know that we will get to hear the heartbeat and he will take some blood tests from me. I am HOPING that I will get a sonogram, but I am not sure. I created this blog to share my adventures in pregnancy with my family and friends....unless no one cares and then I just created it for me to look back on and remember. As I think most everyone knows, I have had hardly any morning sickness to speak of, I have had a slight bit of nausea, comes in waves. My most annoying pregnanacy symptom has been the headaches, I have had horrible headaches almost every night for the past 2 weeks. But since I am only 2 weeks away from 2nd trimester mark I am hoping it is about to be more fun!

On another note, I called my blog unexpected blessings because of the huge shock this pregnancy came as to both ben and I. This was definitely not in our life plan but as my brother said "life is what happens when you're busy making other plans". We have passed the initial shock and are starting to be real excited about our new addition. However; we are still unsure about little things like how we are gonna afford to provide for this baby, where we are gonna live, how this is gonna affect what ben and I want to do career wise. But instead of dwelling on it (which would make our heads explode) we are taking it one day at a time right now. Obviously God had a different plan for our lives than we did, so we are waiting for Him to divulge the rest of it.

I am so excited that you have created this blog to chronicle your baby's birth. This will be a blessing to you and to XOXOXO for many years to come.

I can't wait to find out what the doctor says.

I really can't wait to find out the sex so we can't start calling it he/she.

Thanks for creating this blog.

Nice blog, thanks for the plug...but just to set the record straight, John Lennon said that.

Go, Jenni! We are looking forward to reliving these experiences with you. Keep us posted. On a side note, I don't think I have ever seen Jarod and John Lennon together...hmmm.
