Fall is by far my favorite season and being in florida makes me somewhat sad about it...I want to wear cute fall clothes and drink hot cocoa and watch the leaves change. Fall in florida is pretty much the same as summer, the heat drops off a few degrees but not enough to change your clothing...in fact you will probably only need a sweater for about 3 days in december and that is it. You will never see leaves do anything, we have palm trees and they don't take on a pretty fall color. But I decided I don't care and I decorated my house for fall yesterday, I sat out the pumpkins, the candles, the placemats and napkins mamaw got me! (thanks mamaw) and we are officially ready for fall/ halloween/ thanksgiving. Some people have already pointed out that a couple of my pumpkins say "boo" and "spooky" on them and that is more of a halloween decoration but I don't care.
Last night ben and I went on a date, he took me to olive garden and for those of you who haven't known me since I was 5 Olive garden is and always has been my very favorite restaurant!! So yummy! and in celebration of fall we got the new fall dessert (to go cause we were too full) but it was a pumpkin cream cinammon cheesecake and it was AMAZING!! I used to work at the cheesecake factory and this is so much better than the pumpkin cheesecake they have around this time. You must try it if you go to olive garden. After our dinner we went to Blockbuster and rented a couple movies. We are quite the life of the party! But it was a great night.
Hope everyone is enjoying their start to fall, the season and the school semester!

Yeah for date nights....Dave and I have those great nights too...I have been taking the summer decor down and putting up some of the fall stuff today.....going outside to start to decorate the buckboard this afternoon. I will enjoy the perfect day outside that God has blessed us with for you too. I remember Florida and missing the change of seasons too. It is 75 and the most beautiful blue sky. And we got 2" of rain yesterday... first rain here at the house since the middle of June. Yeah!!!! I am going outside to tie up some of my corn stalks to put out on the front porch.
love you sweetie
Jenni,
You go girl! Think Fall! I'm getting my stuff out this weekend. While you live in Florida (and how much longer will that be?) you just have to do those kind of things. If you lived in Michigan I would take you to all the great cider mills. Florida is a nice place to visit, but I would want to live there for very long.
Love you, Grtandma Karen
I did wear a light sweater this morning and when I took Sammi out to potty I think she enjoyed the cool weather. She hopped around the yard like a galloping pony.
OHHHHHHH
I want a buckboard and to go to cider mills.
Fall is a totally different time if you are a teacher. It means new kids, new parents, tons of paper work and even more meetings.
I think I will go home and get my big tin pumpkins out and decorate
You have motivated me.
I am glad you and Ben got to go on a date.
Love you both,
Librarians are really busy as well, now that school is in session again. Homework starts the day after Labor Day.
Also, only one bad thing about the cider mills, pretty soon you have to trade them in for Blizzards. Must be why God gave us Spring :)
Love you,
Grandma Karen
I decorated too...I moved the vacum from the corner and put it in the closet. I aslo washed the kitchen rag...we are ready for fall!
LOL! Jarod, what happened to Mr. Neatfreak Jarod? He would never have a dirty rag or leave the vacuum out. I miss that Jarod. I want that Jarod to live with me!
