Caffeine
There are a lot of things you SHOULD give up while your pregnant. Like drugs, alcohol, smoking, and caffeine. These are the big ones and drugs, alcohol, and smoking pose no problem for me. Caffeine on the other hand is posing a big problem to me. I don't drink soft drinks or tea so my only problem is giving up coffee. I started out thinking I would slowly scale back because if you just quit cold turkey you will have massive headaches Which I am already having because of the pregnancy and I am also trying to only take tylenol if my pain gets so bad I can't handle it. So anyways I have scaled back on my coffee consumption (I used to drink about 4 cups a day) I am down to a little over 1, I make 2 but only drink 1 and a half. I am having a really hard time drinking less than that though. When I went to the dr. she asked me if used drugs, alcohol, smoking or caffeine so I told her about my problem to which she said "well all the studies that have been done where fetus' developed abnormailities their mother's drank 4 or more cups a day." I think she meant this as some sort of reassurance. However; I heard the word "abnormailities" and that's not really a line I want to play with. So long story short...I am still trying to quit.

Jenni,
I feel your pain :) I take it you have tried decaf? A lot of people I know are trying to get off caffeine, for one reason or another, and they are trying to drink 1/2 caffeine and 1/2 decaf. That may help keep you from getting those headaches. Good Luck.
I am so glad to hear you quit drugs, alcohol, and smoking. I knew you could do it!
