It's beginning to look a lot like....

Yesterday my mom and I had our annual tradition. I usually take her out to lunch for her birthday and we spend the day together. It started with the cheesecake factory and has digressed to california pizza kitchen. This year we were late on the birthday celebration (her bday was nov 17th) due to the fact that there were some other important things going on in the family. So we did it yesterday since she is out of school for the week for thanksgiving. We went to california pizza kitchen and then to the galleria to see all the christmas decorations. This is one of my favorite traditions of christmas that jarod and I have always done with mom. Some times she would even let us play hooky from school in order to go ice skating and get our pics taken with the christmas bear and the huge tree they have at the galleria. It is definitely a tradition I will continue with my kids. It was fun to take Aiden and we got some cute pics.

It was a great time! We will definitely be doing it again next year. Santa wasn't at the Galleria yet...imagine they aren't going to put him out there until AFTER thanksgiving?? Crazy! :) Today Ben is off work and the Grogan family is coming over for our annual "help mamaw bring all her christmas stuff out" day. This is also a tradition in the Cox family. Whoever is available or cannot come up with an excuse fast enough comes over to bring out all of mamaw's christmas stuff (which is a lot) and we help her decorate. This year since we are living with mamaw and taking advantage of her hospitality daily we figure we should probably be available for this! It's bound to be a great day with lots of christmas cheer in the air! Tomorrow we will celebrate thanksgiving for now it's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!!!
