Family Easter +Egg Hunt

Sunday night we all headed over to mamaw's for the traditional Cox family easter egg hunt. We've always had an easter egg hunt at my grandparents, ever since I can remember but now the youngest of the original grandkids are 15 and the oldest is 30 soooo we're not really big egg hunters anymore! So this year the hunt was for Aiden only. Hallie got a special little purse but she's not quite ready for easter egg hunts either.

After aiden found all his eggs, we had a yummy bbq dinner and good old fashioned family fun time. A perfect end to a very fun but BUSY easter.

My cousins "the twins" ooh'ing and ahh'ing over hallie :)

Aiden = mad easter egg hunter!

Jarod & hallie.
Hallie doesn't get much down time at family functions!

My happy little boy with all his eggs.
I'm thinking aiden may be ordering someone around here? He kind of calls the shots at family gatherings! (And then has a sad dose of reality on days following a family gathering where he is again told NO!)
Beth & hallie
Checking out what was in his eggs.
I'm not sure you can really tell in this picture but aiden is being OCD and opening each egg and making a specific pile for that egg's contents.
And his eggs had dollar bills in them that he kept handing to Jarod cause they didn't go in his perfectly appointed little piles.
Going through his easter basket that Gigi brought him.
A bubble blower
Is there anything more fun??
Check out all those bubbles
And there ya go...pound them into mamaw's carpets. Yeah sure that's allowed??

We had a GREAT family easter. My kids were so overly spoiled by all their family that loves them. Hallie was never ever put down and had a rough monday & tuesday when mommy again had to wean her off of always being held. Aiden was spoiled rotten by the easter bunny visiting him in many places. He got easter presents/ baskets from of course the easter bunny who came to our house, gigi & poppy, mamaw, aunt kim, Ben's dad & allison, and grandma Karen even sent easter books for the kiddos long distance! Thank you so much to all of our family who love our kids so much and make every holiday a special one!

That's all for easter!!!

Back to reality my sweet children. Aiden- for the 45th time no you cannot have chocolate for breakfast and no we absolutely do NOT blow bubbles in the house!!! and sweet baby princess, you're gonna have to learn to nap in your bed, I cannot hold you all hours of the day.

I'm thinking the easter bunny may have a twin. The un-easter bunny who comes and takes all the candy left over back a week after easter? What do you think?? We may have a spotting of this twin later tonight! ;)
