On Christmas eve we went over to mamaw's house for the traditional Christmas Eve celebration. This year was a teeny bit different....
We had yummy yummy beef tenderloin

Made by Jarod :)
After a very delish dinner we all gathered round to hear the Christmas story, have an informal worship time, followed by singing of some carols.

Aiden liked the singing and was good about sitting and listening pretty much the whole time.

Prissy Pants-there's that tongue! When she wasn't on the floor crawling around..

She was sitting with poppy, also enjoying the worship time and the music.
We have some very talented musicians in our family. Aaron played the drums for us and Rob played the guitar.

My uncle david sang for us and it was AHHHH-MAZE-ING. I'm gonna go ahead and put it out there thatI think he may in fact have a future in music ;)
Then after all the merriment, it was time for the girls to get into their matching Christmas PJ's for the annual Cox women PJ picture!
Here we are!

Poppy & hallie- She was getting so sleepy, even before presents!

Aiden & Hallie. Love them!
So after all that...it was time for the gifts!!!

Aiden got an ORANGE truck! He was so excited! He had specifically asked for this truck when we had seen it at target.

and a blower. This was also a winner!

yay!!!!

My brother & SIL

US!!!
Ben gave all the guys in the family "lucky dog" hats. The company Ben works for has lucky dog as their mascot. These hats will be worn a bunch in the future I'm sure.

The twins got footy PJ's!
and Jarod & beth got the adults lottery tickets as their presents....Too funny!
I think they won $2
Our evening ended with more playing, chatting, chilling as a family
Aiden LOVES the drums and pretty much think aaron is a rockstar because he plays them. I think aiden may be a little drummer boy before we know it. He was actually showing a little bit of rhythm here!
The super cute Grogan family
and the precious Cox family
So after everything was over at mamaw's house it was time to go back to my parents house. The past few years we have spent the night at Gigi & Poppy's house so that when santa visits us we can all be together.
Aiden set out the cookies & milk for Santa.
And then after the traditional family reading of "Twas the night before Christmas" it was time for the kids to head off to bed.
Uncle Jarod & Aunt Beth read aiden one last story before going night night on Christmas Eve. It was a magical day and night. Filled with so much fun, family, & food. It was the perfect Christmas eve for our family!
Here's the video of us reading the night before christmas on Christmas eve.

That tenderloin looks Fabulous! Didn't know Jarod had it in him! Might need to repeat that sometime soon. Love the two pictures of Aiden and Hallie under the tree. I can retrieve one of them, but the second one won't pull up.
Looks like yall had a very special Christmas eve. Sweet pictures.
tenderloin looks amazing..........even though I didn't get to eat one bite! Nothing fun about being sick on Christmas Eve.
So happy for family and traditions.
Glad I got the pajama picture.
You captured the magic with your photos.
